In September and February every student takes a numeracy test to look at fundamental arithmetic needed to succeed in Maths. This is differentiated into four test levels and creates a target sheet.
These target sheets are in the front of your Maths exercise books (e-mail to request a copy) and each area has a video clip and a book reference. If a student scores a 3 they are 'secure' in that area, a 2 'secure but with a minor procedural error', a 1 demonstrates 'some understanding' and 0- 'very little or no understanding'.
You can use Hegartymaths video clips to work on your targets by searching for the clip number on www.hegartymaths.com or you can work from a specific page on the numeracy booklet. The booklets are available for £1.50 from school.
